In order to vote on a user's comments, please change your style to prosilver. :D

Ok it has been brought to my attention that there is some confusion over how the reputation system works, so here is a brief run down:

The time limit between giving points is two hours.
The spread of rep points before giving to the same user again is five.
Users get one block for every one hundred points.
Users can have a maximum of one hundred blocks.
The minimum points a user can get is negative five thousand.
The maximum points a user can get is ten thousand.
The maximum number of characters a comment can contain is thirty five.
Users get one reputation power for every one thousand reputation points.
Maximum reputation power a user can have is five.
You don't 'give your points away', that is to say when you give points to others, your rep does not diminish.
When you click on the 'blocks' (the little squares to the side of a person's posts), you can read who has given/taken points, what post it was given/taken for, and their accompanying comment.
Your reputation power can be read when you look at your personal profile (i.e. click on your screen name somewhere).

This means that a user starts out with one rep power. Every time they vote up or down a comment, they affect the other user's points by one. When a user accumulates one thousand points their rep power increases to two and the number of points they then affect when voting increases to two. The maximum amount of rep power a user can have is five, this means that the most amount of points that can be affected are six.

The reputation spread means that before voting for the same user again, you must spread your voting amongst five other people, failure to do this results in the message that you need to spread your votes before voting for that user again.

As with all modifications from now on the reputation system is only available in prosilver.

I think the above rules need some amending to be honest. The values and ratios are way too inflated.
I guess it takes a firm belief in the invisible magician to properly sell a gun online. Who knew?-Shawna
